One of the special skills Winware Oy has is the interconnecting of information systems. There are two approaches to this: The standard way has been to build each point-to-point interface from scratch. Recently it is getting more and more common to use interface engines such as e*Gate or DataGate (TM's by SeeBeyond Corp.) - these are well known to Winware - or Cloverleaf (TM Healthcare Communications Inc.) to solve the task. The benefit of deploying an interfacing engine is a smaller implementation cost and easier maintainability and upgrabeability. In limited environments, one more approach may be eligible: it is not necessarily a huge task to build such an interface engine, we've done that before.
